Wildlife Photography

I have always had a passion for photographing wildlife and the amazing animals that we have on this planet, my aim is to capture the beauty and emotion of each animal I photograph from the graceful kingfisher to the powerful silverback. Since becoming a photographer I have had the privilege to witness some of the most amazing animals in some amazing countries, and every minute I spent with them creates a lifetime of memories that I want to share through photography.

     

I also work closely with many wildlife parks, breeding centres, zoos and country estates within the UK and Europe, and am currently the resident photographer for Linton Zoo. I think everyone will agree that zoos and breeding centres will never replace seeing and photographing an animal in the wild but they do play an important part in helping to educate us, and in helping to preserve and re-introducing endangered species back into the wild.

Over the last few years I have worked hard on building a reputation for stunning wildlife photography, as a result I have had many of my images published in magazines such as BBC Wildlife, Practical Photography and Biaza, also many of my images have been used for advertising and exhibitions within the UK, Europe and America.

Tutoring & Workshops

As well as concentrating on my own photography I am also very keen on encouraging others so I run wildlife photography workshops at several locations throughout the year, these are at wildlife parks, zoos and selected venues throughout the UK and Europe. Not only will you learn how to use your equipment but I will also teach you about the animals, their behaviour and where best to put yourselves to get the shot.

I get asked so many different questions over the course of a year but the most common one is how do I capture such amazing photos, my reply is always the same.

" I give the animals the patience and respect they deserve, in return they give me their time "

     As well as group workshops I also tutor smaller private groups and one to ones, so if you have a location in mind then please enquire on the cost of me spending the day with you, you and a friend or even a small group.
